Last week, I looked out to see a coveted visitor to my feeders. This male Indigo Bunting was resplendent in his bright blue plumage. I tried to sneak open the door to get some shots of him, but he spooked easily and immediately flew away. The next day he came back, and I decided not to press my luck, so took some shots through the kitchen window of this lovely birdie. The first spring we were here on Chickadee, I would have four at a time at my feeders, but since that time, I've only seen them sporadically. That indigo color is so vivid and beautiful!
There is no doubt that grace is the only thing that has allowed me to stay sane, love myself, and laugh on this journey which is my life.

I've only seen one here in Nebraska, and that was several years ago. How fortunate you are to have one as a daily visitor. Lovely photos, Jayne. :)

They are so lovely. I haven't seen the one that was at my feeder a few weeks ago.
What a gorgeous bird - I've never seen one. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos!

God surely had fun creating some of his creatures, didn't He? Beautiful. Diane
We see them now and then, but haven't had the good fortune to attract them to the feeder. Lucky you.
Impressive, indeed! I love seeing these indigo beauties!! Lucky you to have one at your feeder! :-)
They are truley gorgeous. Ours are mainly spring migrants. They don't seem to hang around the ytard although I see them in the wooded areas nearby...
