I figured I'd better get a shot of the winter surprise before it turned brown from the temperature drop this weekend. Friday it was very breeeeezy with a high of 46 here when it was 74 the day before... (I know, much warmer than you are having it up there in Minnesota. I'll stop my whining now!) I'll enjoy these pretty pink blooms while I can!

I'm so glad I read about the camelia japonicas on your previous post! We had eight of them, young ones, planted in May. No blooming all through summer and now I know what those tight buds are doing. I'm going to keep a close eye on them!
THANK YOU JAYNE!!! What a delightful gift! Such beautiful pink. It's 10 degrees and snowing here this morning while I sip my coffee. We're putting up our Christmas tree today (while I watch the Vikings play Chicago!)
what a lovely splash of pink in winter to cheer us along, am catching up, can't believe how quickly time has gone and how many posts I've missed... hope you had a lovely weeknd, Katie x
